I'm just the pieces of the man I used to be
Too many bitter tears are raining down on me
I'm far away from home
And I've been facing this alone
For much too long
I feel like no-one ever told the truth to me
About growing up and what a struggle it would be
In my tangled state of mind
I've been looking back to find
Where I went wrong

Too much love will kill you
If you can't make up your mind
Torn between the lover
And the love you leave behind
You're headed for disaster
'cos you never read the signs
Too much love will kill you - every time
Coming from a poor family in Batangas, this fourth year high school boy would occasionally sell “siomai” (steamed pork dumplings) to help his family meet both ends. He admitted in an interview that sometimes he would accept invitations to sing in burials and birthdays in exchange for food and pocket money. Undoubtedly, he is so blessed with his harsh solid voice, this has been manifested when upon his first live performance during the audition at PGT, his rendition of Journey’s “Faithfully” had 251,407 YouTube views within the first 24 hours from the time it has been posted!
I'm just the shadow of the man I used to be
And it seems like there's no way out of this for me
I used to bring you sunshine
Now all I ever do is bring you down
How would it be if you were standing in my shoes
Can't you see that it's impossible to choose
No there's no making sense of it
Every way I go I'm bound to lose
This early, hopes are high for Jovic and why not, over the past years we have grown witness to the remarkable achievements of ordinary Filipinos making it big both in the local and international scene. Arnel Pineda of the Amo and The Zoo band has became the front man of international Rock Band Journey. Charmaine Clarice Relucio Pempengco of Laguna was the first Asian (and Filipina) in history to land in the Top 10 on the prestigious Billboard Top 200 album and she was dubbed by the famous and very influential Oprah Winfrey as the Most Talented Girl in the World!
Too much love will kill you
Just as sure as none at all
It'll drain the power that's in you
Make you plead and scream and crawl
And the pain will make you crazy
You're the victim of your crime
Too much love will kill you - every time
His own version of Europe’s hit single “Carrie” was his semi-finals ticket and Queen’s “Too much love will kill you” was his Finals masterpiece. A very powerful and immortal song that says everything about love from beginning to end. Thanks to the Commander of the Order of the British Empire Awardee for Service to the Music Industry, Queen Lead Guitarist and a legendary singer, songwriter Brian Harold May. Jovic and Brian I absolutely agree, too much love will kill you - in the end.
Too much love will kill you
It'll make your life a lie
Yes, too much love will kill you
And you won't understand why
You'd give your life, you'd sell your soul
But here it comes again
Too much love will kill you
In the end...In the end.
